Facilities

Parking

There is good public parking access for cars, motorbikes, motorhomes, and school or tour buses. Please enquire when planning your visit about the parking facilities.

Access

The museum site and buildings are historical in nature and are widely left untouched from their original use and purpose. For those who are less physically mobile, it may be difficult to get around the buildings. Please inquire about mobility and access to the buildings.

Seating

The museum complex is on an open green space with large trees and a small amount of seating to provide shade. The grounds are ideal for groups to picnic on the grass. We please ask you to secure any belongings and take away any rubbish to dispose of it.

Toilets

There are public toilets available within the museum complex. These toilets have one accessible toilet and wheelchair access. The local Central Hawkes Bay Council are responsible for management and maintenance of the toilets.
