Education
Educational, school, and historical research visits are welcome and supported by the museum. Previously we have hosted many school visits, touring groups and professional associations.
These visits have covered a variety of general topics, including historical farming and early pioneers. One school group filmed their school play using the museum facilities and dressed in period costume.
There is a wealth of information on-site within each of the buildings. Information is also held in the wide range of local records, books, and artefacts at the museum.
We encourage and support genealogy, ancestral, family reunion and historical research visits.
Schools who have visited include:
-
Taradale Intermediate School
-
Sherwood Primary School
-
Flemington School
-
Central Hawkes Bay College
- Tikokino School
